In a Hurry? Quick Look at our Top Picks:
In the world of wine coolers, you’d be hard pressed to find a hotter pick than a thermoelectric one. These wine coolers eliminate the standard condenser found in most wine coolers, opting instead for the “Peltier effect” method of cooling (a system of voltage manipulation in which voltage is evenly applied, resulting in the collection of heat in an alternate location).
These coolers, as a result of ditching the compressor, run incredibly quiet compared to their contemporaries, while still doing an admirable job of keeping your wine cool.
An added bonus is the fact that, in addition to the noise coefficient, vibration is also kept to a minimum. This results in attractively designed wine coolers that make minimal sound and hardly any vibration at all.

Why a Thermoelectric Wine Cooler?
Because they are virtually noiseless, vibration-less, and reliable! Condensers can freeze, and feature multiple wear and tear parts by virtue of their design.
Even the best engineered condenser will need service at some point in time, and a standard condenser will need to be serviced more frequently.
That’s not to say that voltage manipulation is bullet proof, but the chance of breakdown is far less, and easier to fix to a trained professional.
Also, with the removal of a condenser, less space for internal workings is needed, allowing a more sleek and attractive design to be possible.
What do I look for when buying a thermoelectric wine cooler?
Reliability! Beyond that, it is important to identify your needs. Do you have a size requirement in the space that the wine cooler will be kept? How many bottles do you need to store normally? These are important questions that we hope to answer.
What is right for me?
For my money, I prefer the Haier to the Avanti (as well as multiple other thermoelectric wine coolers) for its attractive design and dual zone control at a similar price to the Avanti, although it cannot keep opened wine bottles as easily.
The smoked glass, dark features, and overall aesthetic blend in well inside of any kitchen. That said, these are both great products that for a very reasonable price can be had.
