Danby DCR326BSL Compact Refrigerator Review

The Danby DCR326BSL is a compact refrigerator and freezer unit. It has separate doors to the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Keep reading to learn about some of the features that it offers.

Interior

The Danby DCR326BSL refrigerator offers an internal storage capacity of 3.1 cubic feet. There is space to hold a tall 2-liter bottle of soda and a vegetable crisper complete with a cover. An interior light also helps you see the contents of the refrigerator easily.

It also offers a separate freezer compartment. It doesn’t have an automatic defrost feature, so you will need to do that manually.

Door

This fridge is fitted with a stainless-look door. It has an integrated handle for a cleaner look. The door also has a reversible hinge so that you can have it open from either the left or the right. Very useful in certain circumstances.

Design

The exterior of the Danby DCR326BSL is composed of a black cabinet. It has a smooth back so that you can sit it right up against the wall, though as with most fridges you should leave a few inches for the heat to escape. There is also a worktop on top of the unit which can hold a small appliance of some sort.

The DCR326BSL is a compact design. It measures 33 inches high, 18 inches wide, and 19 inches deep. The machine weighs just under 64 pounds.

Warranty

It is backed by a one year parts and labor warranty.

Pros

  • It's basically a decent entry-level fridge.

Cons

  • It's pretty noisy - half the time it goes into overdrive and fills your kitchen with sound.
  • Some parts of the construction are quite flimsy.
  • It doesn't seem to keep the right temperature - quite the flaw in a fridge!

Summary

There are much better fridges on the market, but if you can get a good price, it's not a bad option for a college dorm, starter apartment or similar.
